Product Overview
Waterproof Car Cover Material uses a three-layer laminate made from a 210D polyester Oxford outer fabric, a microporous PE membrane and a microfiber flannel backing. The Oxford layer faces the weather, the membrane allows vapor to pass through, and the flannel keeps the coated fabric away from the vehicle surface. This construction is intended for outdoor and long-term storage covers that need to deal with rain, trapped moisture and paint-side contact at the same time.

Core Advantages
Balanced Waterproof and Breathable Protection
The 0.2 μm microporous PE membrane provides 10,000 mm H₂O water resistance while maintaining 5,000 g/m²/24h breathability. Liquid water is kept outside, but water vapor can pass through the laminate, which helps reduce moisture left under the cover after rain or a change in temperature.
Soft Paint-Side Protection
An 80 g/m² microfiber flannel forms the vehicle-contact side of the laminate. It separates the coated Oxford from clear coat and polished finishes, so movement caused by wind or repeated fitting creates less direct rubbing on the paint surface.
All-Season Outdoor Stability
The laminate is rated for use from -20°C to 70°C and retains more than 85% of its strength after 500 hours of QUV aging. That range makes it suitable for covers that stay outdoors through winter cold, summer heat and extended sunlight without the fabric quickly becoming brittle or losing structural strength.
Customization Capability

Layer Construction
The outer layer can be selected from lighter polyester Oxford grades through 300D and 600D constructions. Microporous PE or polyether TPU can be used for the barrier layer, while the vehicle-contact side can be finished with microfiber flannel or knitted backing to suit the cover design.
Waterproof / Breathable Target
Waterproof and breathable performance can be adjusted to the project rather than fixed to one construction. Options range from standard waterproof fabrics to higher-barrier breathable laminates already used in the car-cover range, depending on the required hydrostatic pressure and vapor-transfer target.
Color and Roll Specification
Outer-face color, coating appearance, roll width and roll length can be matched to the approved sample and the customer's cutting layout. These production details can be set for sedan, SUV and other vehicle-cover patterns.
Quality Control
Before lamination, the Oxford fabric, membrane and backing are compared with the approved construction. Inspectors check fabric weight, layer order and visible defects so the production roll follows the signed sample rather than being judged only by surface appearance.
Coating continuity, membrane bonding, edge alignment and pinholes are checked during coating and lamination. Inspection is carried across the fabric width because a small area of poor bonding or missed coating can become a leak path after cutting and sewing.
Finished material is tested against the order requirements for hydrostatic pressure, vapor transfer and tensile performance. The shipment also receives 100% inspection before packing, and third-party inspection is available when it is part of the order.
FAQ
Q: Can I get a sample before ordering?
A: Regular product samples can be provided free; custom-developed samples are arranged by project.
Q: What payment terms are used?
A: Standard products use 30% deposit and 70% balance; custom-made products use 50% deposit and 50% balance.
Q: Are sewn needle holes waterproof by themselves?
A: No. Needle holes require seam sealing at the finished-cover stage.
Q: Is this fabric reversible?
A: No. The coated Oxford side is the exterior face and the microfiber side is the vehicle-contact face.
