Thick Tent Fabric is a heavy polyester shelter fabric with double-sided PVC. It is intended for structures that carry more tension and see harder weather and handling than typical recreational tent cloth, including military tents, disaster-relief shelters, field structures, equipment covers and other heavy shelter panels.

Key Advantages
High Tensile and Tear Strength
The Key Data Table gives a 1200D/2-ply polyester filament base at 48T x 48T and 520 g/m2. Tensile strength is 3,500 N warp / 3,200 N weft, and tear strength is 250 N / 220 N. Those values are relevant to large panels that are repeatedly tensioned or loaded by wind, snow and anchoring forces.
PVC Barrier with Low-Temperature Flexibility
Double-sided PVC thickness is 0.45 mm, water resistance is above 15,000 mm H2O, and the fabric shows no cracking at -40 C. Together, those figures cover two practical requirements for wet or freezing field use: keeping water out and retaining flexibility during transport and erection.
Fire and Outdoor-Aging Options
For flame retardancy, the table lists NFPA 701 or DIN 4102 B1. It also records more than 80% strength retention after 1,000 hours of xenon aging. These are separate project controls for emergency, military and long-duration outdoor shelters that need specified fire performance or weather-exposure performance.

Quality Control
- Quality checks on the heavy base fabric cover yarn construction, weave density, finished weight and PVC thickness against the approved production standard.
- The testing plan follows the Key Data Table and the order specification. It can include water resistance, tensile strength, tear strength, puncture resistance, low-temperature flexibility, flame retardancy and xenon aging.
- Every finished roll is checked for PVC continuity, cracks, bubbles, pinholes, edge damage, shade variation, usable length and label accuracy before packing. Independent third-party inspection can be accepted before shipment.

Q: Which shipping term is available?
A: FOB is supported.
Q: How is export packaging arranged?
A: Roll protection, labels and outer packing are prepared to the shipment requirement.
Q: Does the -40 C flex result certify a complete shelter for operation at -40 C?
A: No. The -40 C result is a fabric flex test. A complete shelter still has to be validated as a finished structure for operation at that temperature.
Q: Are NFPA 701 and DIN 4102 B1 the same certification?
A: No. NFPA 701 and DIN 4102 B1 are different flame-retardant standards. The project needs to state which requirement applies.
