Greenhouse Megastore Shade Cloth is a woven HDPE monofilament shade mesh for agricultural and horticultural structures where light levels need to be controlled. It is used on greenhouse roofs, shade houses, nurseries, propagation areas, and fixed or movable crop-shading systems for vegetables, flowers, seedlings, and ornamental plants.

Core Advantages

Shade Level Options
Open-area options are 30%, 50%, and 70%. The 30% open construction gives approximately 70% shade, while the 70% open construction gives approximately 30% shade. This allows different crop or propagation zones to use different light levels without closing the structure with a solid cover.

UV Aging and Temperature Range
After 2,000 hours of UV aging, the material retains more than 90% of its strength. Its specified temperature range is -40°C to 80°C. These limits cover greenhouse roofs that remain installed through prolonged sunlight, hot summers, and cold off-seasons.

Tensile Strength for Tensioned Panels
Tensile strength reaches 800 N/5 cm under ASTM D5035. When large panels are stretched across wires or loaded repeatedly around clips and edge-fixing points, the woven monofilament construction spreads the applied tension across the panel.

Widths from 1 to 6 meters are available to suit greenhouse spans and roll layouts.

Plain weave and leno weave are available, depending on the required installation and mesh format.

Edge Conversion

Edge options include raw roll edges, rope-reinforced edges, metal eyelets, and cut panels prepared for clip or cable installation.

Quality Control

For each production lot, staff verify the confirmed HDPE monofilament construction first, using the approved sample where applicable. They then compare weave format, roll width, mesh consistency, and overall appearance with the agreed specification.
If performance items have been agreed for the order, staff check the specified shade/open-area, tensile, UV-aging, and other required items before shipment release.
A 100% pre-packing inspection covers roll appearance, width, edge condition, and conversion items specified for the order. Third-party inspection is also accepted when an independent release check is required.
