A Grid That Stops Tears from Spreading
Normal fabric tears in a straight line once it starts. Ripstop fabric has a grid of thicker threads. The grid stops the tear at the next line. We use 70D nylon for this product. The base is 70D×160D nylon 6.6. Thicker 200D threads are embedded every 5mm in both directions. The grid size is 5mm by 5mm. Weight is 62 grams per square meter. We coat both sides with silicone elastomer. We call this Ripstop Tent Fabric. It is much harder to tear.

Strong, UV Resistant, and Easy to Sew
This Ripstop Tent Fabric has double the tear strength of normal 70D fabric. The silicone coating resists UV aging. After 500 hours of QUV, it keeps over 90% strength. The surface has low friction. Needles do not jump during sewing. You can also use high frequency welding. We offer a flame retardant version that meets CPAI-84. The fabric stops burning when the flame is gone. It does not melt or drip.
