Anti Static Clothing Material is an outer-shell workwear fabric made from a T/C 65/35 polyester-cotton blend with conductive carbon yarn. The current construction uses 21s × 21s yarn, 108 × 58 density, a 5 mm carbon grid and a finished weight of about 210 g/m². It is intended for anti-static coats, coveralls, laboratory coats and industrial uniforms used in electronics production, component handling and other areas that need electrostatic dissipation together with normal workwear strength.

Distributed Carbon Grid Dissipation

The fabric uses 20D/3f conductive carbon yarn in a 5 mm grid. Surface resistance is listed at 10⁶-10⁸ Ω and static half-life below 0.5 second, so charge created by walking, bending or contact with work surfaces can dissipate across the garment fabric.

 

Workwear-Grade Mechanical Strength

The 65/35 polyester-cotton base weighs 210 g/m² and has listed tensile strength of 1,200 N in warp and 900 N in weft. This gives elbows, knees, pockets and other high-contact areas a stronger woven base while keeping the conductive grid in the fabric.

 

Breathable Workwear Construction

Air permeability is specified above 30 cm³/s/cm². For coats and coveralls worn through long assembly or laboratory shifts, the T/C construction allows airflow without removing the conductive network from the outer fabric.

T/C Construction

Workwear versions can use 65/35 or 80/20 polyester-cotton. Yarn count, density and weight are adjusted according to whether the project needs a lighter uniform fabric or a heavier anti-static outer shell.

Conductive Grid

Carbon-yarn spacing can be produced around 5-10 mm in grid or stripe layouts. Conductive content is chosen to meet the agreed surface-resistance range.

Color and Weave

Solid workwear colors are available in plain or twill constructions. Shade and fabric structure are approved for the garment program before production begins.

Quality Control

 

  • Before finishing, the blend ratio, yarn count, density and conductive-grid spacing are checked against the approved construction. Carbon lines are also inspected across the width for continuity.
  • Where the order requires them, electrical tests are reviewed alongside tensile strength and air permeability. Wash-retention testing can also be added to confirm that conductive performance stays within the agreed limit after the stated care cycle.
  • Finished rolls are inspected in full before packing. Third-party inspection is available when the project requires independent verification.

A: No. The finished garment must also meet the required flame, electrostatic and workplace standards for the target environment.

Q: Does the garment work independently of grounding footwear?

A: No. In grounded ESD systems, clothing, footwear and the grounding path work as one system.
