Built Stronger for Harsh Conditions
Most tent flies use 20D or 70D nylon. They are light but not very durable. Some customers need a tougher fly. Military tents, long term base camps, and dusty or sandy areas require stronger material. So we made this 300D version. It is much thicker than the light weight one. But it still blocks water and lets air out. The base is 300D×300D polyester oxford. Density is 72T×72T. Weight is 160 grams per square meter. We use a double layer coating process. The inside has microporous polyurethane. The outside has C6 fluorocarbon water repellent. The micropores are 0.2 to 0.5 microns wide. Liquid water cannot go through. Water vapor can escape. We call this product Tent Fly Fabric.

Long Lasting and Easy to Seal
This Tent Fly Fabric is much stronger than light weight flies. A normal 20D fly has tear strength of about 15 Newtons. Our 300D version has 90 Newtons. That is five to six times stronger. Branches and sand will not damage it easily. We also test hydrolysis resistance. The fabric sits in hot water at 70 degrees for 168 hours. It keeps over 85% of its strength. So it works well in wet and humid places. We use 25mm wide hot melt tape on every seam. The tape peel strength is 12 Newtons per centimeter. The seams hold 6000 mm of water pressure. We also pull the seams with 200 Newtons. They do not crack. The fabric folds 3000 times in a machine. The coating does not crack. Water resistance stays the same. This is good for tents that go up and down often.
A Real Customer Used It in the Gobi Desert
Last year, a field exploration tent customer came to us. Their old tent flies wore thin after two years. Water started to leak in. We gave them this Tent Fly Fabric. They made 20 sample tents and used them in the Gobi Desert for six months. The tents faced wind, sand, and heavy rain. The feedback was good. The wind and sand did not damage the fabric. Heavy rain did not leak. This year, they ordered 50,000 meters. Our factory has 20,000 square meters and 80 workers. We have been making tent fabrics for 12 years. Monthly capacity is one million meters. We support OEM. You can add prints or flame retardant treatment. Our R&D team can adjust coating thickness for you. Free samples are available for regular products. Minimum order quantity depends on the product. We accept third party inspection. Payment is 30% deposit and 70% balance for regular orders. Custom orders require 50% deposit. FOB shipping.
A Simple Suggestion

300D Tent Fly Fabric is heavier than light weight versions. But it lasts much longer. If you do not need the lightest possible fly, choose this one. It will save you trouble. Welcome to test a sample. We will send it fast.
